English synopsis:
Two-hundred years ago most of the surface of Hungary was covered with water. The water-covered areas hid a exuberance of fish and birds that is unimaginable today. Our film introduces the fauna of the pre-exsiccation Hungary and the peoples relationship with nature. Besides the still remaining water faunas of our country we also visit the Danube delta, where we are seeking answers to the question: What was the thousand year-old wild water country like?
