English synopsis:
Since Aristotle, humanity has been preoccupied with the question of what could be the mysterious sign that trigger the flight of up to millions of mayflies at once in the evenings. Hungarian researchers are trying to solve the millennium mystery. Will they succeed? The stake is huge, as the survival of the Danube mayfly may depend on their discovery. By the time the sunlight disappears and the night has come, a mystery will be solved and the swarming of the mayflies will be over.

English biography:
A scientific advisor at Institute of Aquatic Ecology, Centre for Ecological Research, Eötvös Loránd Research Network and associate professor at Eötvös University in Budapest, Hungary. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science degree at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2021. His research interest is polarised light pollution and polarisation ecological traps. In 2019, he became 1st at the Gödöllő International Nature Film Festival with his film ”The water spider is the miraculous spider”.
