| English synopsis: This film is about a species of Bee (The Tree Bumble Bee - Bombus Hypnorum) that has recently migrated to Scotland from continental Europe. I accidentally discovered a nest in my garden and became smitten with these fascinating little critters. I wanted to tell their (Tree Bumble Bees) story and show people they have nothing to fear. I spent approx. 60 hours filming the Bees, waiting patiently for the Queens to emerge and the mating season to begin. |
| English biography: My career to date (30 years in marketing and advertising) has been dedicated to utilising my skills to the benefit of big companies and organisations. While I thoroughly enjoy the challenge that comes from successfully fulfilling a client brief, I aim to create more from within myself and express my passions through story-telling in Film. I have produced a huge number of commercial films (corporate work), however, The Ginger Arrows is my first personal documentary short film. |
