English synopsis: | It may sound strange, but for centuries humans helped out snakes. The gradual settlement of the Alps for livestock grazing created clearings, meadows, and pastures. This slow transformation of the landscape diversified natural habitats and created favourable conditions for numerous species. |
English biography: | I graduated in 1995 from the University of Milan with a degree in historical and international political science, and I have a Master’s Degree in Environmental Economics and Policy. I have been working with natural parks, nature conservation organizations, and other institutions. Lately, my work has involved producing documentary videos with a focus on local environmental issues, including from a historical perspective, wilderness, biodiversity protection, degrowth, and local history. |
